Rizza Ford/Porsche in Orland Park doesn't do loaners. When I took it in for a minor issue, they wanted me to leave it for the day. OK, just point me to the loaner cars.

No loaner.
"My SVT manual says you have to"
We don't do loaners.
"But you are an SVT dealer, and if I have to leave my car you are to provide another car for the time mine is in the shop."
We don't have loaners.
"Haven't you read your SVT contract?"
We don't do loaners.
"Heck, BMW, Infiniti and Lexus provides loaners. This car cost more than some of those."
We don't have loaners.
"So you don't give loaners for your Porsche customers?"
No Ford loaners.

Needless to say, this will be my last Rizza purchase. Even Honda didn't treat me this badly.

When I put the down payment, I had to come back the next day and the truck was immaculate. They decided since it was pretty much sold, they didnt want the tires to get stolen so they pulled the tires off and put them in the bed. Not understanding the concept of metal on metal will scratch. So when I picked the truck up the bed was all scratched up. They said we can paint it or give you a free duraliner. I had them paint it, came out perfect.

Again the truck was complete when I put the down payment on it. When I bought it home, I went to put a CD in it and the CD player was gone. It was there yesterday. They pulled one out of another L and installed it the next day.

NY State law requires a front license plate. The sales guy who screwed it in, put the top screws in to far and they made to nice new holes in my front bumper.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! First, they screwed up the pricing on my truck - said that I could have the $750 rebate as well as the low interest rate. They called back saying they couldn't do it, but I had a contract stating that I should at least have the $750. They gave me that after I told them I wouldn't purchase the truck. Upon delievery, I notice the passenger door arm rest has a nice slice in it. They said they would replace it. Part was ordered 8 times, and it was always the wrong part - MORON'S. They tried to tell me the part was discontinued despite the fact that the same arm rest I needed was in their new 2000 Lightnings sitting on the lot. They tried putting the Harley Davidson arm rests, but I told them I didn't want that. I ended up talking the service manager into letting swap out door panels with another Lightning they had on the lot. Next was the alignment issue. I had it back to them four times, and they concluded that the hard pull to the right was normal. A$$holes. Upon the last service attempt there, I was given my truck back with massive amounts of rubber filling both rear wheel wells. My tires were roasted, and I had the rubber to prove it. The snake of a service writter - JOE MCKENNA - told me that things would be fixed. They never did a damn thing for me, except offer me $100 of free service... screw that. They are the biggest bunch of BONE HEADED SNAKES I have ever dealt with. A$$holes!!!!!!!!!

Now, a good dealer.

Mullinax Lincoln / Mercury

I highly reccomend this dealer. They have fixed my truck correctly each time, and take great care of me. They got my truck alligned and put the cam kit in - all under warranty. I finally have a dealer I can trust - even after the crap I have been through. I have been through six pairs of rear tail lights, and they are now ordering the 2001 style to replace my current leakers. They said I would be able to keep the old ones in case I didn't like the style of the new ones. The best part was that THEY offered this to me. What gets me is that they aren't SVT certified, yet can run circles around most dealers that are.

I have nothing bad to say about this dealer, everything has been fixed on the first visit.
Only problem i had was with the intercooler when it first started leaking, the guy was going to let me drive it around with it leaking. This because they couldn't find the leak even after i told them that this was leaking into the engine and that it is a known problem with the lightning's. After arquing with him for 5 minutes i told him to call the SVT Number and parts were ordered asap. Ever since it's been smooth sailing. Except for the fact that one of their technicians supposedly so me running at Moroso when i didnt even drive my truck that friday.

Now their sales department i dont know how good it is except i have corrected many sales man there before. One tried to tell me the 2002's were being built when the 2001's had not even started being built.

Apparently there is some confusion on whether
you have to go to a "certified" SVT dealer to
have your ride maintained. I have heard both
stories, like some dealers that are NOT SVT BLUE OVAL
seem to be better at servicing than the certified ones.

Seems that Jack needs to discipline the troops a bit !!!

Now PMF did do a recal for me, it was the safty blet recall, and when I was in for tat they sw a few more that had not been done, so they did them while they had it. The only thing they did wrong was lose my truck for about a hour. Other then that they did a great job.

Now Cole Ford, did fix my miss I had, without a hitch. Best darn service I've ever had from any dealer anywhere!!! In and out the same today, I also had a appointment. Plus one of the service writers has a 2002 SVT. He sold his 99 for it.

FIVE STAR FORD IN SCOTTSDALE AZ: HORRIBLE DEALER!!!

Don't buy or have any work done by them. I have a tranmission problem that is shown in a Technical Service Bulletin (these are called Patern Failures). They won't fix it for me because i have a chip. I explained by law that they have to prove that the chip caused this problem (which we all know it didn't, problem was there before the chip and is obviously a pattern failure). They won't have anything to do with it and "black listed" my truck. What a joke!!!!!!

Earnhardt Ford agreed that the problem is a TSB and they will fix the problem regardless of the chip when the problem shows up for them (it won't shift out of 1st gear occasionally). They said it will get worse and when it does to bring it in. Smart, logical dealer.

Well, as I speak, my squealing brakes are
getting worse .... Wonder if braking at the
strip had anything to do with it?

I think he's talking about the recently departed, but completely unmissed, Jack "the Knife" Nasser, former Ford CEO.

Best New Orleans Dealers?

I know there are a few L owners in New Orleans, so which dealers (SVT or not) have the best service departments?
