Question

It looks like you had your rear side steps/ end caps just painted to match as opposed to getting fiberglass replacements... Did you run into any problems doing it this way?? Any issues with just painting the factory side steps??

Need one too!

Look good. Is your L painted orange or is it just the pic?
I'm also intersted in what prep was done to the steps for painting.

My Truck is Red,

I sanded the Black Plastic until Fairly Smooth. I used a Vinyl Cleaner before Priming, there is a Cleaner that will also make sure all mold release agent is gone.

The Primer did a good job of filling all those little dimples and is much easier to Sand for Smoothness than the plastic.

I might do the Side Steps next winter but I wanted to get the Roll Pan done now for weight reduction.
