Talking New Best!

Made my best run so far today at NED.
60'-1.713
1/8-7.937@86.37
1/4-12.512@106.92
Full weight, nothing removed. Nitto 555R-305/45/18. Lets say I am a happy camper. Truck is running very rough 2night though. I will have to pull the coils I guess and check em>??? Oh well I am still happy. Nice to meet everyone. -Mat-

Superchip by JDM, Air filter setup, Boost By-pass, 2400 Converter, Electric Fan, and a 4lb lower pulley. I installed the NGK TR6's about a week and a half ago. Thanks in advance for any help. -Mat-

I would say thats probably going to be the problem. I went through 2 sets before changing to Denso's. Two local guys have also had ALOT of problems with the NGK's. I know they come HIGHLY reccommended, but I feel the Pay alittle now or ALOT later phrase coming on..... My thoughts man....

Question

Your thoughts would be better then mine so.....I will go with you. Should I pull one plug out and inspect it>??? Could it be the coils>??? The truck still runs strong as hell....strongest it ever has as you can see by the numbers. Thanks, -Mat-

When I had my Factory plugs changed, some looked perfect, some marginal and 2 very badly carbonized and excessive gap.

Again congratulations of that run, nice 60' times for those tires.
I will seeing you at the Truckin Nationals, and since your along my route in CT, you better go to "Fords at Englishtown" this year.
All in all, we had a good time and it was for a great cause.
THough I wish we only raced Lightnings, uuuhm...not 10 Sec Ford Fairlanes....like I had to do.
It was prefect weather and a few of us did better after a winter of Modifying..
Take care John

Don't know if this photo will come out we'll see

I just had to replace my coils. Idling it didn't sound bad , but as soon as I got on it, it missed terrible. I also run my truck w/ the tr6's like it was recommended and it didn't run anywhere as smooth as it does now w/ the Denso's. I run IT 22's and alot of people run IT 20's. I guess it is up to you. The denso's are worth it though.

Maybe I will swap out the NGKs for the densos. I really don't wanna change my plugs again though. Grrr. HaHa. It is funny though the truck is still an animal when you get on it. That is what I don't understand. Thanks for any and all help. -Mat-
