Evergreen Ford f'd up the new head in a big way. It idles like crap now and it's down on power, plus there is a new strange new metallic sound coming from the engine. I was kind of hoping that if I drove it around like that for a couple of weeks it would blow up and they'd have to give me a new motor.
3000 miles left on the warranty, so Monday I'm going shopping for another dealer.

Mark,
Try Kevin Paddock at Ford of Kirkland..I have had my truck in there a couple of times. I left my pulley and ram air setup on, didn't say a word about it....Give him a call, seems to be pretty cool....JR

Thanks, I'll give them a try, they're close to where I work. They're not an SVT dealer, but being SVT certified didn't make the first one any good.

Other damage & screw ups found:
Scratched head light
Torn air deflector
Dented up power steering cooler
Door sill installed incorrectly
Grease on the seats, carpet, subwoofers, door panels
Subwoofer boxes damaged, bolts missing
Scratches on door panels
PVC hose installed incorrectly, insulation torn
TPS & IAC wiring routed incorrectly
Lower air deflector installed incorrectly, missing fasteners
Oil on underside of hood and all over engine compartment
Wires left hanging in front of radiator
Bumper misaligned

Mark,
ouch, that's quite a list of f@ckups..I never had any luck dealing with them either. I bought my Bronco from Evergreen in 92 and swore I wouldn't go back after the first service experience I had there. You're really taking your truck up the rubicon???

they sell SVT vehicles at Ford of Kirkland, I would think they are certified. I had my intercooler done there.......

Sounds like they left the oil plug out on the back of the head when they started it up. Common error from what I've heard!!

I'm installing a 6" lift and skid plates this weekend.

Naw, I brought those new MT/R's home for my Wrangler last night and couldn't resist the joke.

Mark,
your e-mail isn't available...so here goes:
I called Kevin at ford this afternoon and told him you may be calling. All I told him was that you had some warranty work done in Issaquah and had some prblems. I said I think you had a head replaced and now your truck runs like crap..Jon
