What to remove?

I'm going to the track tommorow and was wondering what to remove, last time i removed the tailgate and spare and gained 2tenths, so this time i wanted to remove the hitch also, but have been reading that i would get no traction on these F1's...so what combination should i use?

No Spare/Hitch/Tailgate
No Hitch/Tailgate-leave Spare for traction
No Spare/Tailgate -just leave hitch for traction

Thanks

I personally would just leave the hitch on unless you have traction bars or slicks, unless you can really feather it off the line or your track is really sticky.

I'm sure other will have varied opinions.

Try it with it on, then with it off.

The pass. seat comes off easily with four bolts (large star shaped pattern driver - got mine at AutoZone). Good weight to take off especially since it won't hurt traction.

1.) Spair Tire
2.) Tail Gate
3.) Hitch
4.) Passenger Seat
5.) Front Sway Bar

Also reverse the F1's (Right tire on left side & Left tire on Right Side) and drop them to 28PSI warm... Qucik dry hop to clean them off... Stall the truck to about 1200RPM, tree comes down, let off the brake and roll in the gas fairly aggressively....

That should drop nearly four tenths with a good launch.

It puts more rubber on the ground as per the tread design of the tire... Great for traction, not so great for water.
