I know you ordered your stuff a month ago and you don't deserve to be lied to.....i'm with ya. Not to make excuses for JDM but if you weren't aware, they are sponsering the top truck class at FFW events this year, which is requireing alot of dedication. On these excursion, they are traveling to promote buisness and selling and installing alot of products, never the less, the shop is only staffed with 2 people a believe.....which for a busy place isn't enough. I think they've been traveling on and off for about 3 weeks now. But to cut to the chase.......JDM themselves doesn't have much traffic on this particular board......but here's a post from Justin over at nloc:
Regarding Call backs, Emails, and orders.
As most of you know TeamJDM has taken off to the FFW in Houston for two weeks. Me and one other shipping guy are in the office trying to catch up on everything but between being swamped with phone calls, and about 150 Emails a day I am doing my best to get everyone's order out the door, and reply to emails and phone messages as fast as possible. I have 180 pulleys coming in on Tuesday, 65 wiring harnesses for the Electric Fan kits coming early next week and besides that everything else is in stock. Everyone's orders will go out but not without a slight delay and I apologize for that. Regarding the exhaust systems, all of the Silver Bullet cat back orders have gone out the door, but the remaining full exhuast systems will go out a couple days after the rest of the JDM crew gets back around the 7th. I want to thank all of our customers for there patience in waiting for their go fast parts and rest assured we are getting all these orders out the door as quickly as possible. If there are any problems call me direct at 732/780/0770.

I am in total agreement that JDM's parts are of the highest quality but I don't like to be told a different story every time I call. It just makes for a bad experience. Most people will understand and wait however long it takes but if you tell them it was sent today and two weeks later its still in your office then you will most likely lose a customer over it. When I called 2 weeks after I ordered and was told that my parts hadn't left yet and some were backordered, I almost just canceled right there and ordered from someone else. With that said, will I order from JDM again? Damn right. I won't enjoy it though.

There was only a single reburn done on each chip based on info to tuner from me. Note that the JDM chip was .1 quicker with also 10 degrees more temp. At equal air temp the JDM chip would have been even faster. All runs were made with the same tires, fuel, and at the same track at the same time of day in the afternoon.

PS Oh, Doug (silver 2000) was down here and I showed him my log and how I keep track of all my runs and I showed him the above figures and told him I was going to post the numbers. But of course I could have sat up all night dummying up the pages. Yea right.

I understand how busy they are. They should've told me from the beginning that they were extremely busy and it could take a couple of months to get me everything. I would've understood or just bought my parts elsewhere. I think they told me that so I wouldn't order from someone else and thats not very professional IMO. Anyway hopefully I'll get my pulley within the next couple months after all the more important customers get theirs. Thanks...

These pissing wars have got to stop. What are we-you going to do if all the tuners just say the heck with ALL OF YOU-US, and stop letting us have there go fast parts?? Yours-our trucks-cars will stay stock. And THAT is the bottom line. Heck I'm a biker at heart, and I don't even own a L...yet. (come on 2003) My slowest bike a 650 Honda Nighthawk can smoke most stock trucks-cars in the 1/4 mile, only to be past after the finish line. So stop this pissing war and enjoy what you have, because it CAN go away just that fast as well. One more thing if I may. A 145mph truck-car-motorcycle is WAY to fast for the streets, but yet we have them and most people try to go that fast (yes even I do this). So be very happy we live in a country that allows us to do this even though it is againist the law. Just my 2-cents!

Second of all, you dont even own an L yet, so you have no idea how some of us feel about being treated poorly by a tuner.
This is what happens to most people that order from JDM

I would unfortunately have to say that Nitro hit the nail RIGHT on the head on this one!! I know plenty of others that have had the same experience. Placed orders on credit cards and don't receive the parts week after week after week.... wrong parts sent (in my case 2 wrong chips)...
I tried to remove my 4# pulley last night and stripped the small nut holding the center hub on. Spent 5 more hours trying to get it off, no luck. I know the other tuners don't use a caged design but no one has troubles like this!!

Your right on two counts. I do not have a L...YET is the key word there. Second, I do not know what you guys go through to get your parts. I know they cost LOT OF MONEY. Have you ever tried buying part for a 85 or 90 motorcycle that they don't even make anymore??? I feel your pain, really I do. But still the bottom line is these tuners can say up yours anytime they like, then where you be?? No where. There will be no new part to order, no place to re-burn your chips...etc..etc. We all will have to have stock trucks. And that SUCKS too. I've always been told, screw me once, shame on you....screw me twice...shame on ME!!

Maybe we/you need to ask if you can not keep your promises, then I do not want your parts, the second time you have to call then to ask where they are at that just might get there attention. Just go else place for the parts, is all I'm saying. You do not have to buy that turners parts, from what I've read there are to many tuners out there to buy from just one tuner. Everyone just needs to really stop their crying. Big deal you have to wait for parts........ First of all, you all seem pretty smart.....so if you order something and they don't have it, order it from someone else. Obviously if a tuner is out of something it's because they are selling a ton of that product......so while you are getting pissy and whining about it , and decide you don't want something......they'll be selling it to the next person behind you. They aren't gonna go out of buisness. This tuner war **** is wayyyyyyyyy to old. Someone strips a nut off and that's JDM's fault????
And i'm sure JDM's employees have dealerjim posted on a low priority list and are purposley not shipping to him because they have a personal vandetta against him....... Come on!!!! If you ordered something......and they don't have it......call them and cancel the order. You aren't responsible to pay for anything unless you have it or signed for it. JDM uses a cage on their pulley to prevent premature bearing wear..........the same reason the svt engineers put it on their. The other tuners aren't using them for their own reasons.... I waited for a month for a v/b from PSP...... it's was out of Sal's and Gregg's control so I waited. Big deal. Not like you can't drive your damn truck because your 4 lb pulley hasn't showed up yet.
The bottom line is some of you guys want these tuners to down right wipe your asses. Here's the reallity..........they only thing they owe you is appreciation for your buisness......that's it. Remember.....who is gonna help you if you have a problem with something related to mods.........it won't be Ford.

A tuner war? I don't see it. All I see is people airing legitimate gripes and being shouted down, insulted, and called names for it by JDM loyalists. If not for those defending the indefensible, this thread would have disappeared a week ago. Period!

If you are honest with me, I'll wait and be very patient. No problem. If you tell me "stories", I'm going to be stressing by the time I get my product and, will likely only spend my money with you as a last resort.
