Warranty?

I'm going to new my Lightning at the dealer tomorrow. I was just wondering if any of you get the extended warraties? If so, which?
Also, i see all these people posting about their mods and I would assume that most of these truck are new enough to still be under warranty, so what things CAN I do to my L before the warranty expires?

Thanks

Even an air filter will cause problems with some dealers. I had a dealer try to tell me that a K&N panel filter caused my MAF to go bad because it was "dripping with oil" and the oil was being pulled into the intake through the MAF. I was quoted $471 to fix the problem since it wouldn't be covered under warranty. A quick trip out to my truck to look at the filter (which wasn't dripping oil at all...in fact if you ran your finger over it your finger wouldn't even have a hint of oil on it) and a call to Ford and suddenly it was covered under warranty. Just a heads-up to let you know that, depending on the dealer, anything can cause a problem.
