Tim,

So what exactly did you end up ordering as your "starter kit".
Your gonna love the stuff. I find myself wanting to wax more and more because of how awesome it looks when it is done.

Another Shinny Silver L,

* One thing to remember / consider, you'll never get a deep a shine as the darker colored paints. Just a trade off, lighter hides more imperfections, darker deeper richer shine.

There is a Zaino distributor here in Durham also if ever you need more.... I`ve purchased all mine through him and it helps he is only 10 min away. He also sells a lot of detailing supplies and runs a detail shop also so he has most of the stuff people are looking for and then some.

I think I have found something better and faster than Zaino [and I like Zaino]. This is for garage kept trucks as it is a polish and not a wax. Wash the truck, please use a 5gal bucket and dry with a water blade [Target sells them now] and use the good towels. Next take a close cell sponge and apply Meguiars #7 Show Car Glaze, let dry and remove with Meguiars Quik Detailer. I tried this for the first time yesterday and loved the results. All show cars use a polish and not wax, but they don't need the protection of the wax. Give it a try, can't cost ya more than 10 bucks.

Fast...that's it, I use the California Water Blade but Target had some that looked just the same, about 20 bucks. Cuts drying time in half.

How much did it run you? I have been wanting to get this but a bit afraid to use it all, seems pretty extreme. How long does it take using all that to get the L in top looking shape? I never used a clay bar either is it very hard?

dang tim... is all that for just you to use?!?

you don't use very much at all when applying.. a little goes a loooooong way.
why didn't you get any Z5? (swirl mark/scratch remover) it works very good..
the Z16 tire gloss is good on all plastic/rubber parts, and it holds up a lot longer than armorall.
i use it on my tires, black plastic trim, rubber trim, door seals, dash, interior panels, and on most everything under the hood.

ash: the first application of zaino takes several steps.. you can usually get the whole truck done in 1-2 days.. depending on how **** you are.. instructions can be found here : http://www.zainobros.com/

Walkere please accept my apologies if you feel like I was "jumping down your throat." I didn't realize my post was antagonistic. Like you, I was just trying to give the whole picture. I have never represented myself to be an auto detailing expert; I'm an enthusiast.
