Be careful about speeding fellas!
AA_Expert,
Thanks for the thumbs up! My 'family' of vehicles definitely keep me entertained! Actually, they are 'therapy' for me, since they are one of only a few escapes I have from the daily grind of work and study. Gives me something to look forward to when a new work week starts. I don't drive my L often (only 2200 miles), but when I do, I definitely have some fun with it.
Just think, tomorrow, I get to take the jet-ski out to the lake, with FIVE hot young women! (the jetski competes with the L, when it comes to 'let's go out' factor; I love it when one girl brings lots of friends). I wonder if I should use the L to pull the ski? Well, it only seats three, so not this time anyway!
My last tickets were about ten years ago, so my insurance is reasonable. As someone said above, they are watching me with eagle eyes, 'cause the second I get a speeding ticket (especially with the abundance of performance vehicles) they will be making some serious monetary adjustments to my premiums.
With all the crap we have to put up with in our daily lives, it sure is nice to have a cool hobby known as Hot-Rodding!

I guess some insurance companies just never check records or something. I got a DWI and at least 4 speeding tickets (that I can think of) and my insurance hasn't changed more than a few dollars for years. When I traded my 1999 4.6L F-150 on the 2000 Lightning, my 6-month policy went down $1.
I'm gonna go knock on some wood.....

I wrote a lady a $540 speeding ticket a few days ago. She was doing 49 in a 15 mph school zone!!! That is normally a $270 ticket, but school and work zone citations have a doubled fine. She about crapped her pants when I told her how much the fine is. Just wait until her insurance company sees that one!!! She just flew right on through the school zone, passed everyone. I'm not usually one to hem people up with those expensive tickets, but she was VERY dangerous.
In Houston, all you need is a lawyer on retainer. You become teflon coated to the local revenue (PD).
Anyone who lives in Texas should keep a good traffic lawyer in their back pocket because they can keep your record clean, and you can keep hauling ***.

My friend just got a ticket the other week, doing 115 in a 70mph zone. It wasn't in a L but in his 911 Carrera 2. The good thing is that lucky bum just won $1700 here in Lost Wages and will use it to hire a good lawyer to help his a$$ out.

Speeding in a school zone is the worst fine and point loss on your liscense that you can get here in NC. Rightfully so I might add.
But here's what I don't get: You can be going 76 in a 65 mph zone here in NC and it equates with a DUI pointwise. That don't make sense to me.
(I guess you guys can tell I'm still pissed)

Not too bright...
Just after getting my L I went out with a buddy late at night (2am) and found a quiet, well known straight-away out in the sticks... drove down it once just to survey, make sure there weren't any obsticle in the road etc...
well.. didn't see the officer hiding in a barn on private property...with out permission, I went and talked to the land owners a few days later...
anyhow, 115 in a 55... 60 over... in WI that's a 6 pointer... 461.00... I was suprised at that... court apperance not necessary... I thought my license was a goner for sure...
needless to say, I'm not proud of it...embarassed actually. just posting this to hopefully scare any others that were considering doing something like that into keeping the speed on the track...
haven't been "found guilty" yet... I'm appearing in court in hopes of a point reduction... this is my FIRST ticket ever. Some one mentioned something to me about "it being illegal to for police to ticket you if they are running radar from private property without permission"... anyone know anything about that?
