Header Questions......
Okay, i'm considering headers,
I've read about how difficult the short headers are to install and only give minimal improvements in HP.
Are the long tube headers easier to install?
Is there welding or cutting required? (I would be doing the install in my garage with basic tools)
Do the Long tube headers have the threaded hole for the oxygen sensor?
Any suggestions as far as brand?
What kind of HP gains could I expect?
Will the vehicle sound any different? (I have a magnaflow muffler currently)
Opinions would be greatly appreciated!

i can answer a few of those questions
there is no wleding required, the only cutting is done on the heat shield and that for the O2 sensor.
i think they come with O2 sensor extensions, so i would guess that the extensions screw right in with now modification
as for brand there is 3 to choose from. PSP and JDM sell the same exact header. I think JLPs is different then the other two. and then there is lightning performance, they have had long tubes for over a year and the other 3 tuners just recently came out with them. i cant figure out why no one used them though? its basically up to you.
your truck will sound better. so ive heard. deeper sound at idle and throughout the RPM band.
hope this helps

J15Big -
The Lightning Performance and JL headers are the same. I've had mine on for about a year.
Probably people like me that posted 7rwhp gains for $1500 dollar exhaust systems scared people off. Now, with the bigger pullies and higher HP motors the headers make more of a difference.
