Question Got a light?

Wierd question. How come when I stomp on the throttle, especially on the e-way (higher speeds) I get a tone of engine smell that resembles someone lighting a bunch of matches? Had same occurance with a 99 Cobra I owned. Is this normal? Thanx for any help.
Gavin

i get the same smell, and i really like it. it seems to smell right after the s/c runs. when i had my intercooler replaced i asked them about it, and they also said it had to do with the cats. its a different smell than a carb, but it makes me think of my mustang, because when u open it up u get that gas smell. which is the #1 reason i wont put an EFI system on my 66 stang.
