1st Time at track!!

I need some help here though. I have a JDM chip, cool air intake w/90mm MAF, and boost bypass kit. My best time last night was 13.73 w/ my 60 ft time 2.34 @ 101MPH. I thought for sure that I would be faster than that. I can say that I did run 13.7's consistantly though. The temp outside was 85 and there was about 70% humidity. Was it because it was my first time or does that sound about right? Also I put my 4# pulley on in a week what difference will that make in the 1/4? One more thing, how do I get my 60 ft times down?

Oh yeah there was a S/C harley davidson edition there last night as well. The guy had just bought it and it was running 15.2's consistantly all night. I did get to line up w/ him once and the margin of win was quite large. j/k

Get your 60 fts down. When I had mine, Iwas running 1.9 60's. You will probably drop at least .4ths with better 60 fts.

I would normally launch mine at around 1200 rpms and roll into the throttle (not really flooring it till about 10 mph). When getting up to the start up line, I would burn them out enough just to clean off the dirt. Then I would dry hop it twice before lining up. Hope this helps

Slicks will also get those times down

What about the 4# pulley?

What will that give me in the 1/4 if I am running these times?

With the 4# pulley you have to worry more about tire spin though. I have a 4# pulley and ran a 13.20@104 and my 60ft times were 2.23 and higher, I got no traction. It was my first time there though.

I best run in my 99' was a 13.51 with only an airaid/borla/and the linemod. I just installed the JDM intake with 90maf + their flip chip. Hopefully I will lower my times. At least you were running consistent numbers.

I went from 13.7 stock to 12.9 with 4#pulley,chip(J69),air,
bb and breather cap.
Justin from JDM ran a 12.62 with that setup last night on bald(I mean BALD) F1s(1.87 60 ft. I think).
You need to get those 60 down to at least 1.9.They are killing you.
So 12s are very atainable.

Track prep and practice. 30 PSI in the Eagles, drive around the waterbox, spin them enough to clean them off, this rubber gets greasy with heat. Stage, torque it to 1000-1200, third yellow light rrroooollllll into the hammer and go. You should get 1.9-2.0 60's.

I just checked your sig and I see you have an '00 like me. The stock rubber on those Eagles aren't as sticky as the newer Eagles are. I put some of the newer Eagles on in Sept and I miss the 1-2nd scratch it used to do almost every time, now it's rare.

It's all in the launch. I still need to try running a set of slicks or DR's.

So w/ 60 ft times down and the addition of a 4#er what can I expect my times from a 13.7 now?

with my 4lb i was running 12.76's on f1's at a crappy track!

if you get your 60's into the 1.8's, that is .5 right there, but it will probably net you .6 to .75 in the 1/4
