Dealers that will do X-plan
Dealers that will do X-plan
A local dealer told me a while back that they would x-plan an 02. Now they have changed their mind.
Since I purchased a 94L, I have decided to let a friend use my x-plan pin. He is looking for a dealer around 10-12 hours from TN that will do x-plan. If you know a dealer that wants to do a quick deal, please let me know.
Thanks
Jeff

I just came back from a dealer here in Lexington, Ky. They said it was a slow week so they would take the X-plan on the SVT because of the slow week. So you never know, just keep trying.
A dealer is not obligated to accept X plans it's the dealer's choice that is the way I understood it. I got turned down by 3 dealers before I found one that took them keep trying. I have one here in Daytona that takes them if he wants to come this far south.

I'll try to do this...here goes nothing. A & the Z plan are for Ford employees and family members. The X plan are for the friends of those people. It save you THOUSANDS off a new car or truck. The the SVT I was looking at last night was 33869, with X-plan it was 29899, plus taxes & license, and nothing else. I'm pretty sure that's it. If not ot's very close. They (the dealer) kept telling me that the friend saved me a tons of money. Just be careful with these plans if your thinking of trading in your ride with it, they won't give you anything for it, because you are saving so much already. They still want that money one way or another.
Never drive/ride faster then your angel can fly.
I have one fast angel, trust me on that one.

Yep, what MotorcycleMan said. You've got to weigh the fact that they'll probably give you no more than wholesale for your trade against the potential savings on the new vehicle. For me, I wanted out of that jap POS (S_baru) so bad I could taste it.
I got X-plan on an 02 Silver L in the Chicagoland area, but I bought it in mid February of this year. The weather sucked and it was a week day, so deals were to be had.
Also - fwiw - the X-plan is also for primary suppliers to Ford. My employer (BorgWarner) is one such, so all employees are entitled to get an X-plan PIN. Five people in our R&D group of 14 have bought a new Ford this year under X-plan, so it is quite popular. The price is 4% over the A-plan (Ford employee) price, but still hundreds less than the Consumer Reports "invoice".
With summer coming and the economy picking up it will be increasingly difficult to get a dealer to do X-plan pricing. Call around and ask to speak with the Ford Truck Sales Manager at each dealership. When they answer, be straight and frank with them. If they agree, exchange names and set up an appointment right then for a purchase appointment / test drive.

There are lots of dealers in Cincinnati that will do X-Plan. Just don't go to Woody Sander... I ordered my 01 from them and put my money down on it. A few days later they called me and said that they "forgot" to charge me an extra $500 to cover their SVT program (they divide up the cost, approx. $8000 from what I've been told, among all of the SVT vehicles that the get for a year). I went to a different dealer the next day and bought my 01 off the lot, then drove it to the other dealer to get my $500 back! The look on their faces was priceless! they thought I would still order for the extra $500. They agreed to X-plan and X-pPlan + $500 AIN'T the X-Plan!!!
