I know street scenes is coming out with a grille to fit the 01/02 soon. But I like the looks of the Trenz slotted grill better. I called them and asked if they had a grill coming out to fit the 01/02 without all the fabrication. The guy gave me these 2 part numbers

2136FP- Upper
2172FP- Lower

and he said these will fit the 00/02 without any retro-fitting which alot of you have done with the 99/00 Street Scene grills. Anyone have any additional info on this? Are the 2 part numbers above for the same ones at the online store? Thanx in advance.

This is the word I got two days ago from Derek at Street Scenes about the 02 grille:

THE PART NUMBERS ARE 950-77719 AND 950-77729.

I had a Trendz on my 1997 F150 and it had a whistle at 45-55mph that bugged me.

i believe that the only grilles people are having problems installing on the 01/02s are the SS grilles. I have never heard of anybody having any problems with the trenz weather they be installing on a 99 or an 02.

 

Just got my TRENZ lower grill for my 02 two days ago.P# is 2172-FP. Upper is back ordered. So, got a lower grill sitting here for nothing. DOH! Got em from godfather customs. 300 out the door.

 

I have the Carriage Works grille, and it looks sweet. Was no biggie to install, just had to trim two tabs from the lower inside of the grille housing.

 

2Cool- I just looked at the Carriage Works and I want to order them. Where did you get them and should I do the brushed or polished?

I just order the carriage works:

40912- Upper
41002- Lower

The site says they are new and the rep I talked to said there wont have to be any major fabrications to get them to fit. I hope not. I think it came to about 223.00 with shipping.

ebay has the carriage works for 179 +shipping I see them pop up from the same dealer all the time. I have been going to jump on them but I really want them black to match the truck and did not want to paint them
