Is there anyone out there who has this particular hood on there Lightning. This is the hood I really like but I have heard horror stories about Fiberglass hoods. I have heard people saying that they do not fit properly. If you have one of these, how is the fit and finish of yours. Any probs with it? Any help on this subject would be appreciated. Thanks

No worries on the Cervinis hood.

I don't know of anybody that had issues with it.
It's about the best fiberglass one you'll find on the market, IMO.

 

I love mine, All we had to do is block it and paint. Fit's very well too.

is it functional?

 

you can have it open or closed at the scoops. Mine is open , more air to my open filter but not a functional ramair like say a TA .
there are a few prototype setups out there for it , but none for sale. doesn't really matter to me I like the looks....a cowl is not funtional on our trucks either

 

I've had mine a year with no problems at all, and yes i can be functional..their ram air kit is designed to fit over the lightnings air filter box.

 

I have the cervini on my 2001 and it looks nice good quality, the fit is a little loose on the fenders and I had to shim it up on the hinges but other than that its pretty kick ***.
