1st 1/4 run on stock 2000

i just got back from track tonite with a nice surprise. i got my 2000 L about 1 1/2 months ago decided to see what it has before i start to make mods to it. I did put in a K&N filter the first week, but thats it. I live near St.Louis so i went to Gateway Intl. Raceway and temp was around 60. I was only able to get one run in, i must tell you it has been 20 yrs. since i have done that, and i felt like i was 17 again!!! i ran a 1.997 60' ( probably lack of launch experience) but got 13.668 100.10 mph 1/4!! i was pretty pleased, and cant wait to put in my chip and new air intake!! I really enjoy the Lightning Forum and everyones input, its great to share the same excitement with so many otheres!!! Greg

thanks fellas. everybody always seems pretty cool on this forum. everynite i read it for at least an hour. as far as the run, i let out some air in F 1's to about 28 psi., burned them off and got them sticky, timed the tree , and ignored all the butterflies in my stomach!!! lol are those typicaly stock times??? greg

................ ok now i KNOW there is something wrong with AZ racing then... I have a 2000 L and my best '60 on slicks is 2.0... well i kinda suck, but my best 1/4 is 13.5 and that's with all of my sig minus the MAF, and N20....... WTF is up with this hot weather... forget this POS state. I'm moving to somewhere that I can run faster The fastest L i've seen in AZ is a.... 12. 4 or something that that's Struck In AZ... he's got the majority of the bolt ons and a 2001 L.... Im going to go cry about it now ... oh btw good run. Not bad at all for 20years out of it. I've been in it for about 4 months and I dont think ill ever take that long off

Spade$,

Maybe you're truck's just a dog!!! Kidding...how's the new blower, pulley and juice treating you - have you grenaded anything yet? I haven't seen any posts about your times with the gas so let the cat out fo the bag man! And by the way...I don't have every bolt-on known to man...I did my time on F1's at 25 psi with nothing more than a chip, 4 lb. pulley, filter, BaBolt throttle body and a Bassani cat-back. Next time I head out to the track I'll be ready to lay down some really fast times as I've added or am in the process of adding a few more goodies to the beast (which I'll be more than happy to share with you and a trick or two that shall remain my little secret ). However, that won't be until next fall/winter as the 80-90 degree temps aren't exactly conducive to fast times.

Dan
