Talking Before and after "shiny" badge

I did the shiny badge mod, only took 10 minuites to do. Since I couldnt find acetone I used Goof-off and it worked great also. Thanks to the fellas that explained how to do it.

Did you remove it and do it while it was off the truck, or did you do it in place.....and how the hell did you do it.......what'd you use....IT LOOKS AWESOME!!!!

I was going to do that to mine also, but I saw this guys truck with the emblems painted red!!! sweet looking too!

Not all red, just the part thats black on the stock emblem is painted red to match the truck so it blends in much better and all you see if the lightning part.

if some of you guys are interested this guy did it as a side job for me and he might do more of them. i haven't got mine back yet, so I can't post any pics but they look so nice!!!!

The thread that Lightning#838 should explain it. I actually learned it yesterday by some of the other L members here. Use acetone or goof-off, put some on towel and wipe the black part. use q-tips for the tighter spots. leave badge on, wont damage paint. I think thats all

Anybody done this on a SILVER truck and got a picture? I wonder if it wouldn't contrast enough against the silver paint.

It looks great on Red and Silver,, But on Black,I don't know..May be too much chrome looking..Any on a Black "L"..Thanks

Just did the tail gate badge also. Yes chickenears, best $2.25 spent on such a great looking mod
