Question Need some "shiny badge" help.

I really want to do the acetone on the badge mod. If it isnt to much to ask, i have a couple of questions for those who have done it. Where do you get acetone? How is it done? Any special process? Can it damage paint? Directions? Thanks in advance

I haven't done it but I know that it doesn't hurt the paint as long as you wipe it off and not to let it sit on there. You need to get a lot of q-tips(sp) and you just take the acetone and rub the black paint off. I'm sure Chickenears can fill the rest in, I know he's done it.

I did mine last week, It wont hurt the paint unless you leave it sitting on there, I didnt tape mine off or anything. It was really easy...

If you get black on the paint just use a q-tip and some acetone to get it off... No biggy, just was where it got on your paint later....

I first tried nail polish remover, big mistake, took way too long and was really hard. I got some acetone from my local pharmacy of all places. 100% acetone worked like a charm, i also did my
SVT F150 emblem on the tail gate. Looks great.

That's it, blowntruck. Just wipe it away with acetone. I wet a rag with acetone and starting wiping the black away.

Use several clean rags, or at least that's what I did, and as one gets black, replace it with a clean one and keep wiping. I only used Q-tips to get into the tight cracks.

The black that gets on the paint will come right off with acetone and a clean rag.

All hardware stores or paint stores have acetone. I got my at Lowe's.
