Attn. Sal, Jim, or Johnny!

Anybody know of alcohol injection applications on Gen2 Lightnings?

I'm looking for running an extra 6lbs. of boost with alcohol injection to reduce the chances of detonation...any thoughts?
i may consider doing interchangable pullies so i can have a street setup and a race setup...any ideas?

If you relocate the battery and replace it with a reservoir, then tap the bottom of BABolts power pipe (if you can get one) and no one will see it. A "small" system from the turbo buick guys will work regarding the pump and injector size. As far as tuners are concerned, you may want to contact Danny Swanson.

Smile Dan:

You may be overcomplicating things with alcohol injection.. I too worried about detonation and made the changes below.

Installing a 160*F thermostat in place of the 190*F 'stat and changing to NGK BR7EFs spark plugs will/may reduce the possibility of detonation. The BR7s are 'colder' than a Chicago blizzard and will misfire around town but they are inexpensive and run the 1/4 well. Denso Irridium plugs(IT24) should be as 'cold' but won't misfire. They cost upwards of $90 but I'm going to replace my BR7s with them soon.

What if you tune the chip for artificially higher octane while only using pump gas?
