How strong is my engine????

Hi, I have a 99 L with a chip, filter,90mmMAF, 5lb lower pulley(running at13.5psi), beafed up trans, level10 shift kit, 2600 PI stall, denso plugs. How safe do u think this is on my engine? Should i worry about it or not? Cause if i have to redue my engine it's ganna kill me money wise right now.

If you can't afford to break the motor, you might want to go back to a lesser or stock pully - your truck may be strong and nothing may happen but it's a gamble. Also depends on how confident you are in the safe operating parameters of your chip program.

as far as my chip goes, i had him bring the line pressure down to just above stock so that the beafed up trans would last. He basically just burned it to help out with the fuel. I dynoed it and it is running on the rich side. At the dyno the guy told me if i got a chip burned on the dyno that i could get some more power but i'd rather stay on the richer side to be safe. What do u think of that?

My guess is that you'll be fine, as you're not running on the ragged edge of lean, but it's difficult to be 100% certain that the motor will hold up under the added boost.

Well, going in I'd have to say that if you are running those mods on a 99 it is already "holding up". You didn't say how long you have been running like that. Are you seeing any signs that caused you to be concerned? If you are worried about durability I would reduce the extra burden on the engine. Change the lower pulley back to a smaller one. The extra boost is definately going to cause more wear and tear. As for running rich, it's always better to run a little rich cause a little lean can be disasterous.. Unless you are going for optimum performance, a little rich is where you should be. That's just my opinion. Enjoy your truck!!!
