Lightningtuner, I need your help!!
Sal,I origionaly had your 4way chip set up for your 2#pulley, fast air system and Bassani short tube header exhaust system. Since then I have added a boost bypass kit, crank case breather, JDM full length headers and complete exhaust w/cats and a single blade throttle body. I know I need a reburn. I intend to send it to you on Monday.I have two questions. am I hurting anything driving it like it is right now, and can I put my old Diablo chip in while you have my chip? I also want to upgrade to a 4# pulley at the same time. I hope I don't get over the reliability limit. I do drive my truck every day. How did your trip to Georgia go?
Ilook forward to hearing from you!

Yep spare chips RULE. I got a 4 way chip sittin in my garage for the next reburn i might need. (hopefully i won't have my stang done, as it might influence my go fast needs out of the truck)
Oh welz,
You can pick up an extra autologic chip cheap if you watch for them because most people don't know what the hell they are.
Also if you get a 'cal-flash' which is what most of you all have, you don't necessarily have to buy one for your truck, it could be an eec-iv chip, or eec-v, they can be told to work either way! Pretty snazzy deal from the makers of autologic(thanks mike wesley!)

Thaks guys. I'm kinda new on the boards. I have noticed that it is hard to get answers outta these guys some times. I have had trouble getting hold of anyone except by phone. Unfortunately I have a hard time getting time to call them during working hours. "Hell, I gotta work too!!! I do appreciate the responses!
Nitro--and others........
Sal was driving down to Reynolds for over 12 hours after trying to get everything delivered out and two trucks and a wife
ready to go.
When they got to the track, he still had to install a new s/c and intake adaptor--his suppliers got his 'stuff' to him at the last minute. Then he had to troubleshoot a 2,500 rpm idle problem. He finally found an extra 'hole' in the IAC area of the intake. Then a special 'plug' and a tap of the right size had to be located--not until Sat. am. Then the 'custom' repair was made. He didn't slow down for a minute as he tried to get his L ready for a 10 sec. run.
All this time, guys are stopping by with questions, encouragement, requests, and comments. He never lost his good humor or gentlemanly way even though he had to be under a lot of pressure.
Then qualifying began. The eng. has only 30 minutes running time on it and the blower, even less. The eng. broke the #3 intake valve spring on launch???
He found that out after much thought and then the decision to remove the rt. cam cover revealed the broken spring. Then a search for a spring began.....nada--none were found at the track.
He then got permission(thru Lisa's efforts) to substitute the Gen 1.
This is no flame but I hope an explanation on how busy and frustrating his weekend has been. He gives good service and cares about all of his clients. They should be back by Wednesday.
I almost forgot........he did stop long enough to eat a medium-size cup of Lane's Peach ice cream.

I have posted it before but it doesn’t seem to sink in...
These guys are not Amazon.com
MOST of the tuners here are 1 man operations with limited resources. Just because they have a laptop at the track doesn’t mean they have a cellular modem to stay connected...
We expect them to turn incredible times at the track. They race to learn and to have fun. But if going to the race causes a interruption in the delivery of parts or service that is deemed unacceptable.
Would you buy a chip from a tuner who didn’t race ?
Would you buy a chip from a tuner who only had enough time with his truck to get it to run high 12's ?
They all need to do a better job of expectation setting but the customers need to be reasonable with what they expect
With a MAXIMUM market of 7000 customers per year there are not going to be a lot of BIG name BIG companies that invest time into Lightning’s.
Climbing down from my soapbox..

Well, all I can say is I deal with Sal because of those things he is busy doing. I am just concerned that I have gone too far without a reburn and need his knowledge. He really doesn't do e-mail well. Anyway, I just sent him my chip so it will be there when he gets home. I hope he didn't have too miserable of a time. I love my chip and don't want to go too long without it.
