ok, lemme try to answer all these questions at once. it is in the may 2k2 automobile magazine with the bmw 1 series on the front. heres what the article says:
Ford has pushed back the intro of the next-generation f150 pickup from fall 2k2 to early summer 2k3. the company is said to be spending upwards of 1.5 billion dollars on a major makeover of americas best selling full sized truck. insiders say the new f150 aims to "out tough" the dodge ram with rugged new design cues: it will be offered in as many as five different "flavors", each with unique grill, trim, wheels, and tires. Powerplants will be largely carried over from the present line, with a full range of body styles and driveline configs. Meanwhile, a redesign of the f series super duty has been bumped to model year 2k6, when the big work truck is expected to reflect the blunt design cues from the recent mighty f350 tonka concept pickup

yeah, the ford's got it all over the dodge already, but there seems to be a automotive trend goin of bigger everything. especially grilles and headlights. i don't think it will look that bad when it comes out, but only time will tell. They just shouldn't beef up and box up the looks of the f150 too much cuz it'll ruin the look of the L's and HD's. they should just beef up the superduty's, and not so much the 150. wow this L forum moves fast

That is freaking ugly... I'm going to show that picture to everyone who said I "should have waited until the redesign" to buy my L.

On a funny related note... did anyone see the episode of "The Simpsons" where Homer designed a car?

Looks Like a Dodge and Chevy

Of course it does! Jac "The Knife" Nasser fired, transferred, weeded out, discriminated against, anyone that had been around long enough to be able to design and build quality vehicles.
Just like the Russians, it's cheaper to copy than to do it on your own. But hey, Bill Ford fired Jac and will now will convince us with his new commercials that no matter how many times the dealer tells us our problems are "thats a normal condition" or " could not duplicate", we are proud of our trucks and and as long as they have a blue oval on the front we will keep on buying them.
Crap, I hope he can turn Ford around.

Well I guess if I had to drive a hybrid dodge-chevy it may as well have a blue oval on it.
Wasn't this an AMC tatic?

Hold the flames! I'm die hard Ford! bought 4 new, 4 used. But let's be real, Ford isn't were it should be and it's because of corporate greed!

Oh well - I think many of us will be keeping our Gen 2's.
Upgrading the rods & tranny will be on my list if the 04 looks like the drawing.

All new models are met with resistance. Ooh, I hope Ford doesn't do us wrong! Hopefully it will grow on us?
