Question "The Clunk" - how to fix?

Mine started doing it recently, after about 2700 miles. I have no intention of letting the stall apes at the local dealership have my truck unsupervised, period. So how can I fix this thing myself?

I didn't bother with the Herb's washers. Instead I had the steering stops greased. I haven't heard the clunk in 5 months now.

Thanks, I checked the stops, dry and worn. Greased em. The washer had been shifting slightly. Mig-welded it to the frame. No noise, all better. Bit of paint and everything is better than new.
