Alignment question...?

I have a 2000L and ever since I purchased it (Used) it has pulled to the right a bit, and the steering wheel has to be held to the left a little all the time, even on smooth flat roads. These are the original tires, and they have been rotated already. The truck only has 8800 miles on it, and had 2000, when we bought it.

I have taken it to two different places, and they say I am well within specs for an alignment, and that I would risk tire wear if I dial in a bit more Toe, to compensate.

Well I was going to sell the truck not too long ago, but have decided to keep it.

I noticed something the other day, and wanted to see if any of you have run into the same thing.

I noticed that the rear wheel on the drivers side seems to be towards the rear of the wheel well more than the front.
IOW, if you look at a profile view of the truck, the wheel is about 3 inches from the front of the Wheel well, and the rear of the tire is bout 2 inches to the rear.

I then walked over to the passengers side, and noticed it was almost perfectly centered...?

Does this sound normal, or maybe like it may be a bit skewed in the rear?
I haven't had a chance to do any measurements, but if the drivers' side is towards the back a little , that would explain the pulling to the right...?

Any suspension people here that might have some insight?

Thanks for any input...!
