straight pipes for the lightning
straight pipes for the lightning
How would it sound if i cut out the muffler and put in a straight pipe in the L? would I get any performance gains? Would it turn the Service engine light? would i need a chip reburn?
Come over and I'll show you how it sounds.
Edit: Now that the girlfriend isn't sitting on my lap, I can type more. If you know Jay Lincoln (who also lives out your way) he can tell you how my truck sounds. Or if you feel like coming down to my area, I'll let you hear it from both inside and outside of the truck. It sounds mean as hell!!! Some don't like it, but in my eyes, this is a poor mans Bassani!!
Opps, power wise, to be honest, I think I gained a little (keyword, LITTLE). It's more of an intimidation thing. Tundra (by the way, where the hell is this guy, bout time he added some more vids!) posted that he gained 2 tenths at the track by adding straight pipes. My VERY unofficial testing says the same.

TTT of the page, When someone isn't posting, you can type this in the hope of someone seeing it on the home page.
From what I have heard, does straight pipes decrease backpressure. Many have said the L's like a lot of backpressure, Thats why the stock muffler is purple and other fords aren't. Anyway, that is what I have understood, I could be wrong though.

To The Top. If you noticed, when you post a thread, it gets moved down the page, as more threads and reply are posted, your thread get further down and then subsequently (sp?) ends up on the 2nd, 3rd, etc. page. where it's likely that it will never be answered. IT's a good way to keep your question on the 1st page where it's a definite that it'll be seen and hopefully answered. Does this help?

Fast, don't worry, you have the gorgeous Daughter of yours to make it all better (or atleast until she's a teen, and want to date, and have her own car, and etc. etc., then you'll just be wishing for death!) j/k
