Question Hotchkis 2" Drop Leaf Springs *Steel*

Who sells these springs? I would rather buy springs than change the front hanger! Not the fiberglass spring, the steel one that Hotchkis makes that has a two inch drop.

Thumbs up Hotchkis Springs

Chikenears

Go to www.hotchkis.net , you can order the springs directly from them. I had there 2/3 lowering springs on my 01 f150 supercab and had no problems at all with there parts. There lowering kits are a bit over priced, but the quality of there parts is worth it.

I hope this helps.

Larry.

I got mine from Mark@LFP, if I'm not mistaken JDM also sells them.

Since the Hotchkis rear leafs are stiffer then stock leafs, you may also want to look into better shocks. The hotchkis will overpower the 99'-00' shocks, and the 01' bilstien shocks will hold out a little better.

Speeder,

I went to Hotchkis.org and their price was higher than Mark's at LFP. Thanks

captainoblivious,

I just ordered them from Mark. I already have some shocks, Doetsch Nitro's. Thanks

What's wrong with the glass springs? They are allot lighter and also lower the back by 2"...

Chicken I WOuldnt run those Doetsch Nitros with the Hotchkis springs. The spring rates will overpower them and will probably bounce around, as Captain stated.
Lowering shocks from Belltech, Doetsch Tech are absolutely horrible...In fact most of those shocks are OEM, cut, and not revalved to accomodate your setup.....I have used both and can give you an idea of what you are in for.

Stay with the Bilsteins

JeffsLightning,

Call me old fashioned, if you will, but I'm not going to ride on a fiberglass spring. Glass might be OK for body panels and such. . .

NOSTROMO,

I have two sets of shocks to try. I'll find the best setup after I get the truck lowered and aligned. Thanks

HANKFAN,

Marks price was $294 shipped, not too bad and I like to support the vendors if possible.

HANK, where did you get that Supercharged emblem on your tailgate? I like that! Thanks

Tim

SVTRobG told me that with his Hotchkis springs and Bell Tech shackles he got only three inches of lowering. That is what I'm after. He has a different setup now, he went even lower by adding front spring hangers and going back to stock shackles.

Maybe someone else, that has them, will post their findings.

Hey don't be chicken...Vettes have been on glass springs for years. Look at the weight savings.

Vettes aren't 4,700+ lbs. and don't put down 450lb.ft. of torque stock. I want to see these 'glass springs perform at the track this year and if people don't brake them I might consider a set.

Replacing your stock leafs for the Hotchkis leafs you will get exactly 2 inches of drop and save a little weight too.

Chikenears- That's not a super charged emblem on my tailgate but rather an NOS emblem.
