I Think You'll Like This

I was in my 100% stock '94 TT last night and i raced a new lightning.... I was very surprised at how fast this truck was. we did a full quarter mile pass and he was slowly pulling away from me the whole way... he won by about 1.5 car lengths... he claims it was stock... i've seen guys claiming to run as fast as 13.2 on stock Lightnings, but i was wondering if any other stock supras have raced one of these things and how it turned out ?
i tried to race a lightning one time thinking "its a truck it cant be that fast'' man was i wrong.i havent seen a beating like that since rodney king that truck was fast as hell. it was like the time i raced one of the fast *** bikes in my mx-6.
Hey fellas - I thought you all would get a kick out of these, There is a good post on supraforums.com in the kill section on the lightning, faster than those Supra guys thought! The second one almost made me fall out of my chair

I tried registering at Supraforums.com last week, but it was down......I checked it out from a link on the accordV6.com board where it stated a Supra took out a new Murcielago Lambo! That was freeking awesome...........

I love Supras, and I just hope to God that my gf and I are able to find her a good deal, and well taken care of Supra sometime in the next year or so..........It's either that, or a used Cobra, she's still undecided. We already got an SVT, so I'm hoping we can find the Supra.

Nice ride BTW..................BADA$$ rides them Supras!!! I doubt you'll ever hear any domestic guy disrespect a Supra around here. Lots of respect for those around this neck of the woods man. I'm also glad to see the feeling is mutual!

lates,
JC

well i was on the 15 n in vegas this week and a supra pulled up on me w/ california plates. it was a better looking car than the one that was in "THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS" he slowed down when he got next to me and jumped his car forward ask me to go. ive raced supras before and havent really got my a$$ kicked, so i figured i go for it. BIG MISTAKE i floored it and my s/c started whineing and i began to pull away, then, he floored it--from a 70 mph roll, he actually spun his tires and i could hear his turbo over my truck and stereo. he pulled away like he was in a jet and i was standing still. no joke -- he took off faster than any car ive ever seen in my life (remember i had it to the floor too) so, in closing, if u are ever near vegas or L.A. and u see a real nice silver supra, tell him nice car and u would race but you're almost out of gas!

Glad to see the mutual respect. The Toyota folks are at least more open-minded than the GM trolls.

Saw a Supra 2 weeks ago with 6XX hp and he wanted to race anyone for $3000. No one bit...

Want to race a Supra and win?

if you're having any feelings in inferiority, you can race my '95,but it's only a stock NA. that might not help your ego that much, but car does have some appearance mods, so you can claim whatever you want, haha! Could make it cheaper than therapy--can be filmed winning for $50! Anybody interested? Just kidding1 If I allowed this too many times, I'd need the therapist for my own inferiority complex. There are a few around with 5-900rwhp.

jakemarietta, I may visit my brother in ATL sometime soon - we'll set up this ... *ahem* race. Just kidding - don't feel inferior at all, all Supras are sweet cars, NA or not.

Lightningquick, the graphite-colored wheels I faked in Photoshop. I think you'd have to paint your own to reproduce the effect.
