Hmm...I really dont know, I actually thought my rate was high, guess not. No , they know it is a Lightning. I really dont feel like asking them why it is so cheap compared to others, they might raise it , hehe.....

LOL i dont blame you.

As long as they know its a Lightning I would keep my mouth shut and keep paying it.

BTW for any of you out there that are paying "f150" rates keep in mind that if (god forbid) you ever wreck your truck the insurance company will only pay you for a "f150"!

You might not have FULL coverage (i.e. if YOU hit someone the insurance will not pay etc, etc.)

No, I have full coverage, the works. Truck was involved in a accident last year, sister spun and hit a pole. It was taken care of.

Ditto what poweredbySVT said. Stay to hell out of Miami unless you want to pay through the nose for insurance. My L cost me 806.00 every 6 mts. That is 100,000/300,000 stackable with 500 dollar deductable. The type/amount of coverage you have and where you live determine your cost. If I insured my vehicles in New Hampshire it would cost me a little over 200.00 every 6 mths for the L. Big difference. Oh BTW my current insurance is with Allstate.

I'm in Bergen COunty, NJ...home of the biggest rip off Insurance in the world....or something.
I just got quoted as a SECOND VEHICLE 2002 Lightning and it was $1100.00/6 months. I have State Farm and the rep had never heard of a lightning, she probably quoted me for a reg F-150 so it's even MORE!
What a rip off...I hate this area.
BTW...I pay $1165.00/6 months just for my '99 Durango now and I am 27.

Yikes

29years old. Horrible driving record -tickets, wrecks and a DUI at 19 -among other things. Although my record has now been clean for a few years.

Full coverage on the 01 L, 01 CBR 600F4i and "pleasure vehicle" coverage on the 69 Fastback is 700.00$ every six mos. with Farmers.
