New upper intake

Finally got around to installing my new Extrude-Honed upper intake adaptor today. Will be back on the dyno soon. Stay tuned for the results. Should flow much better and also reduce the air temp.

Just realized I can't attach a photo. Will try and post one in a few.

It's good for a 11 hp. If you want the best results be sure to port match it to a single blade t-body.

Good! You'll get the most out of it! I have data from Extrudehone on this part! Dyno data that is! It's on a 2000 L. You might get a little more. I don't know if it was dyno'd with a single blade and port matched. I'll get those specifics when I talk to rick. Hope you get good numbers.

Do you have a smooth intake 'boot' to go along with it? Its seems like one of the tuners or companies would make a smooth one by now. The big bumpy-ribbed one seems like it would obstruct smooth air flow into the TB - or am I wrong?

What is the cost of extruning it? Or did you get it from a Speed shop?

JBL, at this time I still have the factory boot. Hope to change that soon.

At this time this is not a "production" part. At some point in the future that might happen. I am acting as the test mule. I received the part with the honing process done. I then did the match porting with the T/B and a little polishing on the outside.

If anu of you have ever had your factory intake off you know how rough they are. The port matching from the factory is terrible. This process smoothes the interior to a very fine uniform finish. It should flow better and have lower intake temps.

Schedule permitting I will go back on the dyno this week.
