I bought nittos for my lightning and I bought nittos for my mustang last year. A magazine did an article comparing all the drag type tires and they concluded that nittos resulted in better times and tread life in comparison to the BFG's. This test was done on a mustang. Hope this helps!
Those might not be wide enough to be very effective. My son runs them on his Chevelle, and they work very well.
Follow the instructions regarding the "curing" of the rubber. It makes a difference.
Disregard the instructions about doing a light burnout. Murder them. We found the bigger the burnout, the better they hook.

I have found that a short burnout works better than roasting the hell out of them ?

I had Nitto Drag radials on a 97 cobra and hated them, because I was too aggressive with the clutch. I ordered a set of 305/45/18 Nittos for my Lightning and have recorded a 1.72 60 ft with them.
I only could get 1.79 out of my ET streets(26X11.5X16).
