It's mine... whew

For those who were nice enough to read my posts, I've kind of been detailing my adventure in buying a Lightning here. One final update. It's mine!
They called me back to "redo" the contract. When I left they ended up dropping the price of the truck $1700 more to help me get it financed. I'm at a horrendous interest rate, but it's with Ford, so that's expected. The only credit I have was my Camaro, and I financed her with a co-signer.
I plan on refinancing. My payments are a little higher because of the interest, but I'm better off when I refinance because the "financed amount" is smaller. See? Everything works out if you have a little faith.
I was using this board for research to figure out if I wanted to buy one, and everyone was very helpful. I appreciate it. This is, right now, my most visited site. heh.

Guapo ,
glad it worked out, now that it's done you can still try peoplefirst.com for a re-fi. I did 2 months after I bought mine, only cost me $5.25 transfer fee.. What's the worst that can happen, they say no!! nothing lost, nothing gained. I saved about 30 bucks a month on my payment, now that helps the "mods fund" to feed my MODThraX disease......JR
give it a look......

Mods...
I know this is the wrong place to say this, but I think I'm going to stay stock for a while... the only mods I'll be installing are exhaust, a grill, and maybe a hard tonneau.
I'm trying to be good and follow advice. Vary speed... stay off the boost... well, stay off the boost for the most part. Some times... just can't help it.
What I like about the L is that if I had to sell it tomorrow, I wouldn't lose that much... Someone will buy it for more than I owe on it. =) Not that I'd ever sell it... but if I had to... you know... I think about this because I cleaned myself out to buy it... but wow is it worth it!!
There's nothing like this.

Guapo- Yeah we all said the same thing when we first got our L's. Before you know it you will be ordering a chip, filter and pulley and riding around hoping to catch a light with a vette!

Well... I got it for different reasons than most people here, maybe...
I needed a truck... so I got one that not many people have... I like to be a little different. I wanted something fast, but relatively "low key"... with the utility ability of a truck. This thing was, like, made for -me-.
This is my daily driver. I don't know if it will ever see a track, and if it does.... it will be for fun, not serious. This thing is crazy fast for a truck. Though it's not as fast stock as my Z was... its fast enough for me right now....
But maybe when that first Trans Am revs at me, it will be a different story...
