Question Next mod bang for the buck

What would it be AFTER a chip/filter/pulley? Exhaust maybe?

Thumbs up

Hey,

All of the above would be a good choice and not to expensive.

Oh I forgot to say I already have a FT valve body. I don't think that helps with performance much though. Do you think an electric fan is worth more HP that a throttebody? Thanks for the input...

Throttle body is NOT bang for the buck. I picked mine up for $250 used and it gave me better throttle response and that nice part-throttle whistle, but thats it. I'd go for the fan, that's my next mod. A new t/b will set you back $400.

I think you already covered the best bang for the buck items. Now things start to show less improvement and cost more money. When I get to the point your at, I'm getting a Level10 2400 stall converter. If your talking JDM pump/fan/thermostat, it's gonna run 600.00. I would let that be one of my last addons. If you race then I'd do traction bars-Truck Tracks-Lakewood, or a converter first. BUT - you worked for the money so it's YOUR choice. Just have fun with it.

I'll most likely go the fan/water pump route next. 6 bills is a big $ per HP though. I do need some sort of traction aid also. Still waiting for a picture of the snubber setup. The Truck Traks don't work with composites. So my choices are just a few. I have done the easy things so far... Thanks

I think you should look into some traction. The lakewood traction bars are only around $100 dollars and would be a good mod.

Don't you own the black L with the mystic flames in the NMRA pic?
Great looking truck and a great pic. I have the snubber. I'll take a picture of it and email it to you if you want. I bought it 'cause I used one on a 71 340 Demon and I liked it. Plus, everybody wants way too much for L traction bars, considering they're not even gold plated. The snubber is still a little over priced but it's not so much that I'll have sleepless nights. This one works the opposite way. It mounts under the bed and the snubber extends down to the housing. Same principle used another way but same results. AggieSVT already has one installed I think. It will solidly stop rearend twist and plant the tires.
