With the guy in back of her saying "Holly $#!+, is that a Lightning?" heh.
Thanks for caring. Even if I don't get it for what I want this time... I got to drive one for a week, and removed all doubt that I want on. May just have to wait a little while longer.
If you signed a prior contract then that contract is legally binding - don't let them sucker you into something - if it looks and smells like a fish.....screw them it's THEIR problem. Oh and they still owe you a radio...

This is a typical dealer scam...

...they get some starry-eyed guy who HAS to have this vehicle. They "sell" you the vehicle and quote a low interest rate, then they tell you they'll call you when they get the financing arranged. But, the interest rate they "find" is never the low one they quote you when all you're seeing is stars.

If you fall for this, they'll be laughing behind your back as you slink off the lot with your tail between your legs.

Solution:

1. Find your own legit. financing.
2. Give them the truck back and tell them to **** off and die!
3. Call the better business bureau and local television news consumer protection reporters.

Like all the others here have said, if you signed anything that locked in an interest rate, do not allow them to hose you.

Whatever happens, this is an outrage, and should be documented and reported so unsuspecting consumers do not get suckered by this dealership.

Be sure to tel lthem their dealership will be all over the internet for their slimy business practices.

To deal with them in the future????

Ask yourself: Do I want to continue to do business with them down the road if I have problems with the truck and need warranty work done? What will they pull next? Watch out!

Dude,

If they threaten to take the truck back say "No Problem". They did it to a friend of mine, after 2 weeks with his VW GTI VR6, so what did we do on the way to take it back. 6,000RPM dumps of the clutch, E-brake emergency stops, donuts in the grass field. Bet that dealer will forever think twice of ever asking for a car back.

In reality, unless your credit is a total shambles they ask for more money to make the finance company feel happier, but tell them "NO!" and toss them the keys. It will cost them more to sell a Lightning with miles than it will to let you keep it.

The Finance and Sales Managers JUST screwed up on my PrePaid lease Contract on my Eddie Bauer Expy, they put the wrong residual. What happened? They bit the bullet and ATE the $830 mistake. That's why I LOVE my FORD dealer. METRO FORD you Rule! Discounted SVTs and willing to stand by their mistakes, who could ask for more??
