Can tell you the FORD "Bullit" fuel door looks GREAT on any L even if it is not chromed. Looks great with any color L as is unchromed. Personally I like it unchromed/stock!
Of course if you must have chrome it also looks great chromed.
Install is a matter of two bolts and a few small washers. You need to buy the small washers and a couple of bolts at your local hardware store. Install takes about 10 minutes if that. Do know that there is a mustang etched on the inside of the lid that you cannot see til you open the lid and look close. You will be installing the Bullit fuel door upside down so when you open the lid the mustang is upside down. You will find it hard ot see the etched mustang but I figured I would let you know. The Bullit fuel door can be had on eBAY for about $85.00 shipped. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2433981336
Go here and do NOT get in a price war and drive the bid price up.
Just email the seller and tell him only that you have a question and ask him to email you. When you get that reply email ask the guy to sell you one outside of eBAY. I got mine from him for $85 and he got it to me quickly. A decent nice looking fuel door at an ok price considering other fuel door alternatives.

I wanted to find out if this were made by Ford and if any knows where I can find out if they are alredy available for 2004.

Was talking fuel door for the L. This is a Lightning forum. The Lightning for 2004 is the same as the '03... Flareside body style unchanged! STOCK FUEL DOOR and Bullit fuel door for '03 L and '04 L is the same....

Uhhhhh ? Why don't you just polish the ALUMINUM Bullitt fuel door? Looks just like chrome...5 min at a buffing wheel and bling! bling!....
