Lots of us would like to get huffed or puffed; and if not stroked, maybe some would like to get bored or relieved.

In the suspension area, lowered might be fun, but shackled would be really kinky. Sectioned and/or chopped would also probably get us on the CIA watch list. Might as well throw in slammed too. Drag is, of course, another untouchable word, and then we are supposed to race on the "strip", where we are expected to do "burnouts".

Reaching for a punchline, we are also expected to "Lay" rubber.

Certainly my post was a play on words. With some of the very serious and sometimes rather argumentative posts I have seen lately I thought a little bit of levity might be in order.


As a BTW, group hug as known in the Old Corps could have been described as a "Cluster ****" for those of you from the Fifties.

As a pretty avid drag racer in the fifties and sixties in a lot of "stock classes", I am aware of how one could have fiddled a lot of things to win races. I am sure that Sal is not silly enough to change the stroke of his motor and maintain his truck was at the stock displacement.

To continue the play on words, lots of us dumped the front ends and raked the cars and on older cars had suicide front suspensions.

Some of us also drove Cyclones and Zephyrs before there were Lightnings. I even owned a Toronado for about three weeks.
