Be safe and do it right.

Get a good chip tuned for the gas in your area...
The stock plugs suck, get rid of them and get some new ones...

HEY............. what color is it?? I could use another one!

I don't think that "Lightning" and "saving money" should ever be mentioned in the same sentence, or even on the same day for that matter!!!! Good luck.

Angry

Black, and are you trying to flame me?!!!

Oh, and she is NOT for sale. My wife won't even let me trade her in on a HD F-150. Not that I would rather have one, but I am thinking about the little Dooms that MAY come in the DISTANT future!

I wouldn't say that it is necessary to get a chip. I am running a 2lb. lower and I put in some Denso IT20's and it runs fine. No pinging at all. I am planning on a chip in the very near future, but I wouldn't say that it is absolutely necessary to get the chip unless you start doing more mods.

ICULOKN - Agreed. It's definitely good insurance to get the chip with any pulley mod. I'm just trying to make the point that he doesn't need to get the chip at the same exact time as the pulley. I take it easy (as much as possible ) on my truck since I don't have the chip yet. I don't think that WOT blasts for continued periods of time would be very smart at all with added boost and no chip. I'm actually ordering my chip today, and the pulley's been on for 2 weeks.

QuickSilver02,

If you don't mind, what pulley and chip are you running. I already know which I will buy, I am just curioso.

I thought it was understood even the tuners say and everyone agrees that you could run a 2 lb without a chip.

You can do alot of things, You will not get the best results without a chip. You will have long term issues. Read the directions that come with any pulley... Most say a chip is required for best performance results. Take your chances if you want, its only a motor....
