Frustration!

Ugh... I got the Lightning on Sunday, but I never bothered with the stereo. Too busy listening to the engine... hehe... I just noticed that even though my truck came with the CD changer, the stereo is the standard am/fm cassette!!! It doesn't have the button to use the changer, or any of the features in the manual!! WTF? And the cruise controll doesn't work! I called the dealership, and they said "That's odd... just bring it in and we'll take care of it"... How could something like this happen?
Oh.... and how do you tell the production #, and "birthdate" of the truck?
Thanks.

The dealer owes you the "premium" head unit. You paid for it.

See if you can get them to throw the 6 disc head unit in there. You know, to take care of your aggravation and all

My head unit doesn't look like that either - I don't have those stickers on mine!

I've got a stock head unit i'd even be willing to just trade for anything special,, got some clear corners i've been thinking of getting rid of too. I'd have to think about letting them go though, got one nice system in my truck and i'd hate to have to sell the truck with the nice system in it, it'd be nice to just take the radio back to stock when i sell it. Your dealer should more then take care of you though, if you bought the darn thing new, if they dont, take it right to ford with the complaint, thats bs that they would swap out radios just to **** you off.

I don't think it was intentional... they said they would "take a look at it"... we'll see how it goes. I have to take it back to have the cover installed anyway. Just one more thing for them to do... heh.
