I still have my 96 Cobra, so I can still go fast if I want to! I'm friends with a guy that used to work for Navistar (International) and he said you can get all kinds of power out the the big 444 with computer mods. I've been going to ford-diesel.com for a few years now (dad has a 2000 F350) and those guy get some pretty good numbers with chips, but some of the chips cost over $700.00! The Powerstroke guys have the same warranty concerns as the L guys when it comes to chips. The salesman I bought the F350 from asked me if I had a chip in my truck(I don't/didn't), but I'm not sure what he would have said if I did. He then told me that thier accessories guy at the dealership sells chips! Don't know if they will void your warranty if you get a chip though. He said one of the sales managers has an F350 with a chip and loves it. I know he wouldn't have any trouble getting his warranty work done, but not sure about the average joe.
