What Pressure To Run With ET Streets?
I just bought a set of ET Streets and was wondering what pressure to run for the best traction? I have Jays Truck-Tracs as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Best pressure will depend on rim size, but I and others have made big improvements in 60' times by increasing pressure to 20-24 lb. Find a clean spot of pavement and do a burn - you want even burn/color across width of tire mark.

I agree, 20-24 at least. I was running at 18-20 psi, but as my MPH got better, my truck started to get unstable at the top end. And almost uncontrollable with even a slight crosswind. I ran my best E.T. to date (check sig) at 26 psi, but traction was iffy.
20-24 pounds is right on, but youll have to find what works best for your truck at your track.
4 pounds is a big difference.
I used to stay at about 18-20 until I read that little article in MM&FF with JDM putting his suspension upgrades on their L.
Too low of pressure actually makes matters worse when you involve axle wrap. My truck at 18#'s would hook for the first 2-3 feet, spin, and then hook again. Brought the air pressure up a pound at a time until the truck was consistent off the line. Now I run them at 22 and bring it up if it needs it.
I've had sub 1.7 60ft times on the 10 inch ETs ever since.
Hope this helps

You guys also have to realize Blown will be running at the infamous slippery California tracks. With mine, I noticed the lower the pressure, the better hook up I got. I run mine at 14-16 psi and getting consistant 1.8x 60 ft. (which seems to be good around here.) Track prep, weather conditions will play their part in hooking up as well. Best thing to do Blown is experiment with tire pressures and see what works best for you. Start high and work your way down, checking your tire pressure and raising it or lowering it accordingly.
