4 program VS. 2 program chips
4 program VS. 2 program chips
K, I've finally taken a step to the plate. I'm going to order my chip (finally) and was curious why some of you have chosen 4 program, or 2, or even single programs.
Thanks.

Im not sure exactly what all Sal does with the differant modes. But here is what I can tell:
1.) Street - No 4 Cyl. cut out, firmer shifts, alittle on the timeing, and 3.73 gears.
2.) Hot Street - No 4 Cyl cut out, firmer yet shifts, alittle more on the timeing, and 3.73 gears.
3.) Hot Track - No 4 Cyl cut out, agressive shifts, agressive timeing, and 4.10 gears.
4.) Nitrous Track - No 4 Cyl cut out, agressive shifts, timeing for the nitrous, and 4.10 gears.
We run it everyday on program one, unless we have some Torco in the gas tank from being at the track then we use program two.

No, we changed out the 3.55 gears for 3.73. With the 28" tall F1's, the effecive gear ratio is 3.73. But with the 26" tall M/T ET Streets, the effecive gear ratio is 4.08, but we round it up to 4.10.
I don't think I like the idea of having all those extra 'seldom used' programs sitting there that I paid good money for.
It's either on. . .HOT (not kinda hot, or semi-luke warm hot),
or it's off. . .STOCK. (No chip in the darn thing)
But that's just me.

As far as I am aware the only 4-way chip is the autologic chip from PSP???? Additionally, I believe that the autologic chips are the only ones in which the program can be changed while the truck is on. With the superchip you have to turn the truck off, flip the switch and then turn it back on. I don't know about you, however, I drive around in the stock setting, and I want to be able to switch quickly when the need arises - not that I race on the street or anything.
