Air Box Mods

For those that widened there fender hole. Do you do both the inner and outer hole or just one? Also what did you use to do it?

Thanks

I marked the footprint of the rubber hose to the fender with a paint marker. I took the airbox completely out, and then got a die grinder to remove the excess material from both the inner and outer hole. Be careful on the outer hole - if you slip, then you will hit the actual fender skin... which wouldn't be good. After doing this, prime it, paint it and you are back in business.

The Huge hardware stores have a high speed air saw that is known as a body saw that goes thru like butter.

Was the hole made larger on the 2001s? I was wondering if I could benefit from this...

You should see the 'hole' in my fender. Masterloggie(2000 L) and I compared his to mine. The 2000 is smaller in diameter but has a nice rolled-edge to it. Mine looks like somebody at the factory took a hack saw to it--rough, jagged edges(painted, though) and a slightly larger diameter .....
