WrongdayJ:
Don't worry about it. If you notice, no one came out, blasted you said you're wrong. I actually emailed one guy and asked him if it was possible that you were correct, although I was 90% of the correct answer. I've noticed that when it comes to road racing/handling mods and stuff, everyone is cool about sharing and discussion information. I've been meaning to ask, what is SB Performance?

If anyones interested.
Hey if anyones interested...im installing Tubular Chromoly Control Arms this weekend. Along with Urethane Sway bar End links, new end links, urethane cross-shaft bushings, and urethane bump stops. They are recessed 2 inches in the spring seat to give me a 2" lowering in the front, while maintianing the factory springs, hence rating and ride. Also installing the rear adjustable hangers....from 3" to 5" adjustable to go along with the shackles i already have. Hope to have pics up by the end of the weekend. I hope this will firm up the front end...give a little more tightness and no flex in the curves. Cant wait for tomorrow...UPS....It feels like christmas !
Thanks Silver-Bolt, was thinking of that also. I just want to level it out once the front is dropped 2"....Hopefully I wont have to go over 3 1/2 - 4" in the rear. But if the "C" section is what it takes...then its a go.
I will be creating a post in the VERY near future that will contain pictures of my mods, along with the information that I collected while traversing the can-o-worms called Lightning suspension mods. I've learned alot the last 6 months, but still have much to learn.
The one thing I have learned, however, is that there are those who want to sell people (usually expensive) parts, and there's those who want to help. . .but there are very few who do both. Some people want to TRY and drive on the street with straight-up full tilt autocross suspensions, and there are those who only want to drop the ride height without concern for it's handling effects (positive or otherwise). There are people who are technical and people who want to be technical, but who end up being abrasive instead. I guess that's what's so good about this site. It's got a good mix of people, at various levels of expertise.
SB Performance is a company that is usually associated with late model mustang mods, but has started doing Lightning mods in rescent times due to the Mustang fall off. I have been fabricating suspension parts for him for years. I am not doing this to sell parts. In fact, I have offered to fabricate parts similar to mine for other members for free, as well as given them basic technical information as I gathered it. I believe TwinTurboRanger has a set-up similar to mine. It's trick, it's low-buck, and IT WORKS.
As I stated earlier, I will be posting all of this in a few days, as soon as I gather all the napkin sketches, digital pictures, and correspondance from SVT. But before the sharks start gathering, I will admit right now that I am not a guru. Just trying to understand how all this stuff works like everyone else. Hopefully I can save someone a couple bucks, or help somone like me understand how their L works before they plop down big bucks for a mod they don't need.
