Thumbs up "New" Dial-a-Boost Lower Pulleys

Hey Guys,

Hot new product for our L's. Metco is making Lower Blower pulleys that are interchangeable. You can run the 3 Lb on the street and switch to a 5 lb easily at the track.

Here's a picture of what it looks like:

What is the differance between this and having several PSP/JL Pulleys. At least with the JDM interchangable you get support of the crank.

IS the price cheaper than several PSP/JL setups?

Hey:

I saw this last year at WFC. I thought the pulley Metco had actually went on the blower itself. I wonder if they have changed their design?

Probably belt slippage.

Metco makes both interchangable upper and lower pulleys.

Hey DL, that looks pretty cool. I wonder if they can be swapped without having to lock the converter in place.

Question: Does Metco make it or does ASP make it.

Reason I ask is Mark @ LFP gave me this long speech about the upper pulleys. He explained that ASP made them exclusively for South Florida Pulley HQ and that both Metco and LFP bought them from SFPHQ and then rebranded them to their suiting.

Is this going to be similar?

Gotta love the politics of the Lightning Vendor World. =)

If you leave the belt on while you loosen the bolts holding the outer ring on you should be fine (belt will 'grip' the outer ring and prevent it from turning). Works fine when I tighten my upper pulley and should work infinitely better with a lower pulley because of the increased 'amount' of belt holding it.

hey guys the pulley you see is made by metco only . the picture you see is the prototype the production piece will have several holes on the ring to make it even lighter. and to answer about taking the pulleys off you do not have to lock the crankshaft.it is real simple.the price for one pulley will be the same as our regular pulley .but the key is that you can buy the other rings for around seventy dollarsthis saves you money in the long run.if you wanting a trick setup this is the ticket.

Interchangeable lower pulley

LFP will also be offering the same setup. It's not an exclusive to Metco. One HUB, 1,2 or 3 pulleys that will slide onto HUB. Same principle as LFP upper interchangeable kit.
