Fuel Economy

Are there any mods that help fuel economy? Air filters, exhaust, etc...
Also, do lightnings come with the adjustable pedals?
Thanks

I think LIGHTNINROD says that with his ecomony chip he gets about 30 MPG on the road!

Chips can definately help. We need all the help we can get!

At ease! I never said "30" but I do get 14-15 mpg. Masterloggie has a 4-way chip with 'economy' as part of it and he has gotten 19-20 mpg on the long trips he makes in his 00 L.

I think a chip could help IF you stay out of the throttle...

My own results -

Before mods: 12mpg avg.

After mods: 10mpg avg.

I was just kidding about the 30! Wanted to see if you were paying attention! I only wish I got 14-15. I average 12.5-13.

The words "fuel" and "economy" shouldnt even be in the same sentence pertaining to Lightnings!! LOL! Theres nothing economical about them. You get this urge to "mod" it, then it becomes an addiction and habit forming! Before you know it your credit card is maxed out, your doing mach1 down the freeway with your hair on fire, and getting 9 miles to the gallon!! But your still smiling!!! WTF??!!

some guy once told me that and i quote "i bet that thing will pass anything but a gas station"he was pretty much right but i dont care if this thing gets 5mpg im NOT getting out,as for what i get im not sure really never paid much attention and only keep a little more then a 1/4 tank in it,so frequent stops for petro are common

Talking Fuel economy..

Actually, for what this thing is and what it's capable of, I'm very pleased with my 14.5-15.5 around town. Took it to Atlanta to watch NASCAR run Sunday and still managed a 16.2, even with the sitting in traffic!
