You have to use lot's of lube, start out small, and work your way up to the whole hand. It'll fit. You just have to be patient. Keep soap, water, and a clean terry towel handy.

PS- Remove all jewelery! You don't want to scratch up your L.

Use a wire wheel attachment on a drill or dremel tool.

Then once the crusty crap is off, then use mother's polish or the like and wipe in as far as you can reach with your hands.

Your tips will look like this when you are done:

That's the same thing I did. I used a brass brush, but I don't think it really matters... works great!

OK!

I know no one is going to believe this works but I have seen the results and will be trying it out for myself soon.

One of this board's members(he will remain nameless, unless he decides to speak up.) visited me yesterday and I remembered to ask him how he got his tips to 'sparkle'--on the inside ? He said he took a wheel brush(long, cone-shaped), wrapped it with a towel(?), and applied Cherry Wet Wax to the towel and scrubbed the inside of the tips............I mean, they look like they're new!

Mine were pretty black on the inside before I polished mine, and believe me it took the wire brush on a drill to get it off! I first tried using polish but to no avail.
