"The truck had ran the week earlier 13.20X @103.5 or better. No mods added except the JDM full meal deal headers and exhaust replacement."

Best I ran with the the new; headers, cats, muffelers and pipes was a 13.28 @ 102.8 MPH with the 1.902 60 foot time.

Hang in there for an update with the new plugs.

Thumbs up

i agree with BABOLT on having no cats. i have a complete bassani exhaust with no cats . it is definitley a difference in power going from stock 4 cats to no cats , muchless adding longtubes on top of that. i lost no bottom end torque, but instead lost all of my traction.

Hey Masterloggie,

There is a lot more too it than just plugs if you were only running 103.5 MPH with chip/filter/pulley before the LTs.

Sounds like you need a serious chip reburn or a name change to "Masterdoggie" =)

I added the JDM/Kooks long tubes and cats and went from 12.30 to 12.20. The only change was the headers/cats. Same 60's as before, 1.68

Jim and David Done.
Dan, I do not know a muffler with a built in X-pipe. Does not mean that it does not exist I am just not aware of it.

I have no ET compairson with my JL long tubes yet, but I will tell you it's a definite SOTP improvement. I don't base my modifications on dyno results, just track results. My 99 put out a measly 389HP, but I ran a 12.07@112 without breaking a sweat. I know the truck would do 11.80's with no problem in the cool weather. I've seen some trucks on this board post some nice dyno numbers, good 60' times, but slower ET's.

Here is a description of the single Magnaflow muffler(14568) that I have. I don't have the 'official' Magnaflow description but I have seen it somewhere.

Dan

They will be available in two configurations. First, for all the people that want that deep load sound of the Bassani full exhaust you can get our full exhaust that has two separate mufflers. They have the same load sound decibal volume as the Bassani. Or for the people that prefer a much more conservative quiet system, we have our full system but with the Magnaflow muffler which has a built in X pipe. The JDM exhaust system consists of the Long Tube headers which are available in either Jet Hot Coated or Stainless Steel, the High Polished stainless mufflers, the High Polished stainless tailpipes, and the stainless X-Pipe.

Hey Dan,

I have the same muffler 14568 as you do. They say the X-Pipe is inside the muffler.

I like it, not to loud, but a little rumble.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies. I figured this thread would get loaded with responses, Aren't there a lot of headers installed out there now??

Not many people stepping up to the plate?
