Gaps on the bed rails

Since all of you Lightning owners have Flaresides and the "Other Body" forum does not see as much action, I thought I would post this in here. Do your bed rails go all the way to the front of the slot? This has always bugged me but I never did anything about it while under warranty. My truck is a '98 so I was wondering if they fixed this problem later on. Here are some pictures:

Thanks,
BFS

Street Scenes makes smooth caps for the S'Crew. Maybe these will help you out when they come out for the flareside. If they don't already make them that is.

Gapping

the bed rails requires a special snapon tool. I have mine gapped at about .750" .

J/k, my 01 L has about a 3/4" gap--Iguesstimate, about half of what you have.

Can you guys post some pics of your "gaps"? Of your truck, that it. I thought I better clarify that or who knows what kind of pictures I would get.
