Looks like an enhanced version of the LS1 "MAF Translator", only it's for Ford. Yeah, a technical product for Lightnings!!!

I'll be first in line . . .

Only problem I see is that it may not do much with a factory MAF on a modified Lightning. We are already seeing 5V readings at WOT under 14+ lbs of boost, essentially maxing out the stock MAF. A 100mm MAF (which is being developed) and this "calibrator" may be a sweet setup.

Still, the ability to adjust air/fuel @ any given RPM is priceless, expecially in odd climates and when fuel grade is "poor".

I'm stoked . . . the MAF Translator was a "revolution" so to speak in the LS1 world.

Heh, I should have read the FAQ on their site:

Can the MAFterburner be used to compensate for a “pegged” mass-air meter?

NO! If you’re engine is making sufficient horsepower, and thus has an intake air requirement that exceeds the measurement capability of your meter, there is NOTHING that you can do to fix that problem properly except for obtaining a new meter with greater full-scale range. However, the actual calibration of the new meter is less important as the MAFterburner could be used to tune it perfectly for your car’s configuration. All that really matters is that you do not “peg” (saturate) the mass-air meter.

???¿¿¿¿

I thought I sceen it somewhere that we are NOT comming close to 5v on the maf, also I thought the 100mm unist was for like 20lbs of boost that would cause the 5v reading, I don't think the stock blower can even come close to 20lbs of boost
Just my opinion

SLick
It would be nice just to control(fine tune a/f anyway)

. . . both JDM and SHM have done testing that has shown the stock MAF to be maxed out in high RPMs under increased boost. Subsequntly, both are working on larger MAF/chip combos.

Cool

As good as it sounds, it could be very destructive in the hands of someone who doesn't know what they are doing...

Still, its good to know that something like this will be available in the very near future...

I was checking that out about two weeks ago on SHM. Didn't think much of it cause where maxed out already, but in the future if we get some new 100milimeter mass air's that would be nice to have.

Right now I'm working on getting a digital EGT tempature sensor with memory so I can adjust my fuel pressure on the truck. Kinda the same thing, but just a different way of doing it I guess. KINDA!
