Maas metal polish

Ever use this stuff on your exhaust tips? I cleaned vehicles today and after finishing my Camaro's Centerlines I went ahead and polished my tips. IMO they look pretty good. Been trying to go ahead and use this tube up because Valco makes some that I'm gonna try next. It's supposed to be less work and more shine. We'll see.

I've been using Turtle Wax chome polish. It works great, doesn't scratch the finish and easily removes the stain inside the pipes. The ceramic cleaners seem a little too aggressive for what I think must be a very thin finish.

The L's tips are ceramic coated, so all you are really polishing is the ceramic coating. Still, if the ceramic is clean and shiny, the tips will look clean and shiny.

Years of polishing the stainless and chrome on my Moto Guzzis has me swearing by Simichrome. I've never found anything that works as well. It does a decent job on the ceramic tips.

MAAS is OK. I just think Simichrome does a better job.

Dennis, I've been kinda wondering about the thickness of the coating myself. This stuff doesn't seem to be very abrasive-aggressive, that's why I tried it. Where can a guy find Simichrome? Around here all that can be found is Wenol and Maas.

Harley Davidson's use tons of the stuff. Last time I was in a hog(tm) shop they must have had 500 tubes of it. Try your local bike shop, or order a tub of the stuff from McMaster-Carr.
