Car and Driver laughs at Lightning
The last time Dodge tried this, I had my 94 L at the shop getting a new transmission put in and there was a Dodge rep there. He said that their truck would waste my L. What happened ?? The L kicked the s*** out of it. The same will happen this time. If it doesn't I'll spend enough so that it does. Will still have a cheaper truck.
In my experience, Chrysler specs for Tier-1s and Tier-2s are the weakest among the OEMs. Ford specs have been the toughest. Chrysler stresses price above all other performance parameters. Sure, you can get a Neon for $1k less than a Honda Civic or a Ford Focus, but why would you want to?
K-Mart Lightning? No thanks.

dodge has done better than most , lately, at making concept cars happen. i for one can not stand that "oh yeah, if i spent that much i could go faster" crap. if you lose trust me it wont make you feel better. with nice f350s costing 40k and a nice suburban costing 40k and the new cobra at 35k, if this limited edition truck on 24s (hell tires and rims would run 5k) comes in at 45k that is probably about right. i still could not force myself to buy a dodge but it seems like they are trying. competion is always good for the consumer.
